I love that very first Friday The 13th poster with the axe. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. I currently have that second Friday The 13th part 1 poster, with the kids inside the silhouettes. And yes, I do have that batshit crazy Corey Feldman poster tattooed on my face, thank you.
Remember that Sugar Crisp commercial where that little bear guy strolls over hill and dale singing in a Bing Crosby voice "Can't get enough of that sugar crisp..." to anyone who'll listen? That's essentially my feeling toward FRIDAY 7 THE NEW BLOOD in a nut shell! Thanks for posting that foreign ad...I've never seen that before! very cool!
I like the first one best too. when you look at it its as if there is more than just blood on that pillow. Theres also bits of brain and bone and maybe a little hair on the pillow too. I haven't seen jason goes to hell but I did see the space one and freddy verses jason and he new york friday the 13th.
I just found black Christmas on. I haven't seen it yet
Love the "I Heart NY" one. If only the movie were anywhere near as good as the poster. Some of these are pretty good. If they made the original today, they'd use the generic giant pretty faces of the 'stars', instead of that sweet drawing of the axe through the bed. Man that poster is 31 flavors of awesome.
BTW, I thought MPAA rules didn't allow blood on movie posters.
These posters- with the exception of the foreign-market editions- really got more and more boring as the series continued.
The thing I love about the first one, the axe-n-bed combo, is that it doesn't make sense. The shadow shows someone making with the chop-chop, but the actual axe is...chopping by itself. Awesome.
i never liked the knife they used on the part 7 poster. it looks like a letter opener that they cropped out of a "things remembered" catalog, and its glossy sheen belies jason's mucky, maggoty appearance in that particular installment.
ok . . . the foreign ones are essentially 20 times more frightening. What's up with all the fire and chemo children?
ReplyDeleteamazing
ReplyDeleteI need that Feldman poster....blown up to an obnoxious size, framed, and planted in my front yard.

ReplyDeleteMust have the foreign poster for Part 7. That's just a little slice of awesome.

I even put on my red and blue specs for the 3D one. 3D ROCKS!

ReplyDeleteQuĆ© recuerdos!!! Es la mejor saga de terror que existe, aunque hay varias partes que no he visto, como la de Nueva York. Cada dos por tres la ponen en televisiĆ³n...jeje.
ReplyDeleteI love Jason!!!
