  2. I loved Ils (Them) so much. Thought it was really creepy. Haute Tension was pretty cool too. Haven't seen the others.

  4. Hey Stacie!

Have you ever seen Calvaire?! So weird. So mean-spirited. So bizarrely homo(erotic?). So French. So much like a hundred other movies but still different. ...and then there's that fucking dance!!

    I think you'd like it!

  5. Stacie you seen MARTYRS yet, we screened it at Mayhem - it's, WRONG!

  6. Need to see Martyrs still. Thanks for reminding me!

  7. Seeing as there's quite the residue of French fare - poster-wise, I figured I'd recommend one more. If you haven't (which you may have all ready) seen The Evil Inside - or Baby Blood - you may enjoy it. It's got that lovely French double threat of blood and sensuality.

  8. Hell yeah, bring on the Gallic Grue! You even found a couple of Haute Tension and Frontiere(s) posters I'd never seen before. Can't wait to see Martyrs (I do love a good cinematic pummeling) and Vinyan, which is from Fabrice Du Welz, who did the superbly-creepy/previously-mentioned Calavaire. Have you seen Sheitan yet? I kinda loved it.

  9. Throwing in my two cents to add I loved Them and Inside. I own Haute Tension, but have yet to sit down and watch it. My Netflix queue is chockful of (hopefully) good stuff.

Question: Is Switchblade Romance an alternate title for Haute Tension?

  10. SikeChick: Yes, it is.

I have yet to see Inside cause it's not out in Denmark yet, But maybe I'll consider ordering that region 2 version with the swedish subtitles.

and Stacy, Your blog is full with goodies, Thanks.

  11. I wake up to my High Tension poster every morning, and every morning it makes me happy.

Admittedly, I like the poster more than the movie itself, but don't let that worry you--the movie's still great. I just have an (unhealthy?) affection for girls with power tools.
