...which, of course, can only mean one thing: I've got a new column up at AMC! This week, feast your eyes upon 10 kickass horror movie taglines! Chime in with your own favorites, but don't get all up in my grill with stuff like "How could you not include The Thing?" because, yes, I agree that "Man is the warmest place to hide..." is a fantastic tagline and I did include it, but the list I submitted was culled from 25 taglines to 10. Oh, these crosses I bear!
In other news, I went to a screening of Drag Me To Hell last night. There's an embargo on reviews for another couple of weeks, but...umm...it was fucking awesome.

I look forward to your review of Sam Raimi's return to horror with Drag Me to Hell. The premise is priceless. A gypsy woman putting a curse on a bank representative when she wont give her an extension on her mortgage, couldn't be more relevant in these times.
Yay! I can hardly wait for Drag Me to Hell.
As for taglines (I will comment here since my work won't let me comment over on AMC), nothing beats "The night HE came home" for me. But I might also be a wee bit obsessive about John Carpenter's Halloween.
I'm so glad you let that teaser out. I was so wanting Raimi's new flick to rock as much as the trailer does. When he can get out of his own way, there's no one better...
The movie was "meh" at best but you have to admit the tagline for Jaws 2 was great: "Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water."
My favourite tagline EVAH has to be The Dentist Part 2 ("Second time around, you know the drill"), although I have a lot of time for Hatchet ("It's not a remake, it's not a sequel and it's not base don a Japanese one").
Cherry Falls: "if you haven't had it...you've had it!"
&
The Mutilator: "By axe, by sword, by knife, bye bye!"
...are my favourites.
Can we get the full list you submitted? just sayin', y'know.... that'd be pretty sweet.
Yeah, what was on the other tablet, Moses?
Another cool article! I always loved the tagline for "Turkey Shoot" which was "Hunting is the national sport...and people are the prey!"
Maniac Cop - "You have the right to remain silent... forever!"
Black Christmas - "If this picture doesn't make your skin crawl... it's on TOO TIGHT!"
I recall some Suspiria weirdness too, the tagline was something like: the only thing scarier than the last 5 minutes of Suspiria is the first 93 minutes.. or something similar.
Can't wait for your review of this movie. Hoping Sam Raimi hasn't gone soft with the PG-13 rating.
