FINAL GIRL explores the slasher flicks of the '70s and '80s...and all the other horror movies I feel like talking about, too. This is life on the EDGE, so beware yon spoilers!

all the world loves a list!

Don't you think? And so I now present to you...

5 Ways People Have Misspelled "Halloween" in Google When Looking for Info on Rob Zombie's Halloween 2:

  1. Hallween
  2. Hallowen
  3. Hallaween
  4. Hollween
  5. Haloloween

That last is my favorite. I'm glad they found their way to Final Girl. The Parade of Really Horrible Michael Myers Masks, however, ain't havin' none of it.

That last comes courtesy of my pals over at the supreme Evil on Two Legs.

You know, as I was searching for these pictures I thought, "How effing hard is it to make a GD Michael Myers mask?"- but I shouldn't be so hard on the store-bought efforts. I mean, by the time Halloween 5 rolled around, even the filmmakers were failing at the task!

I choked and almost died (preexisting condition) at the succession of shitty Myers masks. That was 10 kinds of awesome!

I like an anecdote shared about the production of H20 and the controversy over the mask. While watching a rough cut of existing footage (about half the movie) one of the producers suddenly stood up and shouted, "That is NOT Michael Myers' mask!"

Not the sort of thing a director wants to hear in mid-stream.

Ha! The Michael "Don King" Meyers mask is priceless!

Wasn't the original Michael Myers mask a bad William Shatner mask?

Remind me... in which sequel did Yahoo Serious play Michael Myers?

The second to last mask is my favorite.

Maybe because he looks so surprised. I dunno.

I saw the wild hair one at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in New York last weekend. The film would have had a whole different vibe if they'd gone with that hair... maybe in RZ's H3?

After looking at your list, it does appear that making a passable M.M.M. (Michael Myers mask) is damn near impossible. I suppose that would make having a proper one a badge of honor and quite the mantle item, which is why I plan to one day purchase this bad boy -- once I'm making the big bucks and own a mantle on which to place it.

#2 is a mislabeled Celine Dion mask, obviously.........

The really good Michael Myers masks are upwards of $200 online, specially made by fans! Sad times.

I though Rob Zombie's version WAS spelled "Holloween." My bad.

The fifth picture's pink background really livens things up.

Those masks can't be right. One looks like Richard Nixon and another looks like Ronald Reagan.

The last picture reminds me of the robot woman at the end of Superman III.

Hilarious...that second mask from top was my favorite. That expression! lol.

Someone had told me long ago that the original Myers mask was indeed a William Shatner mold...or mask...whatever, but it was his face. Can anyone confirm that? Oh wait, there's always Google. Geez, technology.

When Shatner's character in The Devil's Rain goes eyeless, it really is a peek at Michael Myers in embryo. And that's cool.

I cant see how they keep getting Myers masks wrong over and over again being as how simple the original was to make.
