William Marshall is the bomb. On guy to outchew the scenery around Shatner.
So, lessee…
Spanish Scream, Blackula, Scream! says something like "The peace of the grave is interrupted and the dead leave their tombs to call Blacula and his infernal rites." I'm a little vague on the syntax of the last line, because I don't, you know, speak Spanish.
Spanish Dr. Black-Mr. Hyde is The Black Devil. "His hate turns him into a beast!" "Horror!" "Panic!"
I wish I could make out the fine print on that crazy Romanian Black Frankenstein, though it may all just be credits.
Spanish Blackenstein reads, "Black Frankenstein, a terrible dream become terrifying reality."
Italian Abby says, "The story of a woman possessed" and "the Devil is now her lover."
Sugar Hill had the bestest radio ads, with a very deep voiced man intoning repeatedly, "Sugar Hill...and her ZOMBIE hit men!"
When those played on the schoolbus' radio, all the kids went bonkers, and the phrase "Sugar Hill...and her ZOMBIE hit men!" was a mantra in the hallways after that.
Until it was replaced by something else, of course.
Black Frankenstein is more commonly known as Blackenstein but I couldn't watch it all the way through. It was that bad. Sugar Hill was kind of fun and the one who played Baron Samedi was great for scenery chewing.
I so wish I could find those "MAD TV" sketches where they did Blackenstein vs. just about every blaxploitation monster you could think of...including a guest appearance by Ed "Too Tall" Jones. XD But like the "Almost Famous 2" sketch (With Patrick Fugit and Will Sasso's Fred Durst impression), I just can't find it on YouTube.
God, they never should've 'retooled' that show... :(
Black Frankenstein. Third poster from the bottom.

Abel Ferrara is supposed to be doing a Jeckyll and Hyde movie with Forrest Whitaker and 50 Cent in the roles.
No joke.
They basically ripped off the design for the Blackstein poster from the Frankenstein Conquers the World lobby card.
