FINAL GIRL explores the slasher flicks of the '70s and '80s...and all the other horror movies I feel like talking about, too. This is life on the EDGE, so beware yon spoilers!
Awesome! I love how sometimes the shots are bland, and sometimes they're essential, like this one. (This is from the third Ju-On, right? Not the first one that was shot on video?)
They made two films that were cheap and shot on video for Japanese direct-to-video release, then the third film was shot on film and that's the one that was released in the US as "Ju-On: The Grudge". Then they made a sequel to that one, then they made the American version, and then they made a sequel to _that_ one plus a third direct-to-video one that I haven't seen, and two more Japanese sequels from different directors.

I like this one, even though it felt like they crammed in a few to many story-lines into one movie...but it's still creepy as all hell.
Oh holy effing shit. That's going to stay with me all day.
You have offended my family and you have offended a shaolin temple.
This is from the first film, I believe? Or whatever's been labeled such for the US release.
Yeah, this one's pretty perfect, although he is slightly less scary when you can see that his eyeliner's smudged. :D

Film Club Selection:
The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
Because a) It's a classic.
b) B & W Horror is under-represented on your site.
c) It has monsters and they're always (er, mostly) good.
d) I've already done it so can cheat with a quickie link.
Okay, it's mostly d).
