So, like, remember the other day when I put up a link to my review of Bitch Slap that's currently nestled in the sweet, sweet bosom of Pretty/Scary? Yeah, me too. Wasn't that neat? Yeah, I think so too. Well kids, now there's more of my...uh...Bitch Slappery posted over there. This time in the form of: interviews! Yes, some chattings with actresses Erin Cummings, Julia Voth, and America Olivo...not to mention stunt coordinator supreme Zoe fucking Bell. Read it...if you dare! Clickety click.
Some trivia for you: Julia Voth is the face behind Jill Valentine in the Gamecube remake/relaunch of Resident Evil.
Not gonna lie: there were times during the interview where I was totally going "Hurrr hurr hurrrrr...Resident Evil....hurrr....Jill Valentine....", for as you know I loves me some Resident Evil. Thankfully I was only doing it in my head. Although in retrospect, had I been doing it out loud, it may have made for a nice story for everyone assembled to tell later on.

Yeah, I can see the Jill resemblance there. ... I love the RE games, too, but I'm a sucky videogame player, so that limits my ability to really tackle the series. ... RE2 and RE3 were probably my best combination of enjoyable games that I could get to the end of. ... Code Veronica is great, but I just cannot beat the final 1/3 of the game. ... RE4 seems like terrific fun but I really wouldn't know, because my ass never gets past the first all-out war scene in the town square with chainsaw dude. What we need a version of RE4 for dimwits like me.
That section of RE4 is RIDICULOUSLY difficult, especially considering it happens so early in the game. BUT! You don't have to kill everyone, and you don't have to kill the chainsaw guys. Once you kill around 15 villagers, there's a cut scene and everyone disappears. So if you can stay alive that long, you should be good. It's really one of the toughest parts of the entire game.
I highly recommend the Gamecube version of the first game (simply Resident Evil). It's mega scary and lots of fun.
Cool. Thanks for the tip and the recommendation. I was to the point where I was just going to pick up that chicken pecking around the village and make a run for it. Leon could fry up some chicken and call it a day.
