FINAL GIRL explores the slasher flicks of the '70s and '80s...and all the other horror movies I feel like talking about, too. This is life on the EDGE, so beware yon spoilers!
The thing I'm enjoying most about the 23:45 screencaps is the links to the old reviews.
"As with all the greatest movies in the world, the action in Amityville 4 culminates with someone throwing a hideous floorlamp off a cliff where, upon impact with the rocky shore below, it explodes."
I think you just about summed up all of film theory and criticism right there in that sentence. If a movie can make you think it's the only movie in existence that matters while you're watching it then I'd say it's certainly done its deed.
Patty Duke! That was when TV executives seemed to think that big ratings would follow just by hurting Patty Duke in some way or other!
