I loved that movie. It was really the first movie that Kate Beckinsale really looked amazingly beautiful in. Bill Nighy played the perfect villain. Great special effects. And the triple shot of Selene's modified Berettas is accurate!
I'm not crazy about the sequels but the first one is awesome! That opening scene where she jumps down from the building, lands on the sidewalk and just walks off...man I wish that was me! What a bad-ass!!

I've had friends tell me that this series has some kind of folkloreish basis in fact. As in it's a legit myth, I mean.
I have to start hanging out with a better class of potheads.
