Well, the first episode of The Scare-ening is in the can. If you visit the show page, there are links that will allow you to download it directly or through iTunes. It's, uh, NSFW.
It's also essentially an hour of madness. There are some kinks to work out and issues to resolve, and we'll get better at this stuff as we go. The show airs live, which leaves one (me) feeling all sorts of pressure. Life on the edge, I tells ya...it's as dangerous as it is glamorous!
Thanks to anyone who listened, and big thanks to our guests Hannah Neurotica of Ax Wound, Andrew Shearer, Monica Puller, and Rachael Deacon of Gonzoriffic, Brian Solomon of The Vault of Horror, and Brittney-Jade Colangelo of Day of the Woman.
Any and all hate mail should be sent to my co-host Heidi Martinuzzi. Hooray!

I listened last night and yeah, it was pretty chaotic. It was fun, but there were times I felt like I was listening in on someone else's conversation instead of a dialogue about horror movies.
Still, I look forward to next week's installment. There's just too much talent involved with the effort for me to tune out.
Yes, that's something I'm actively seeking to change. Fun is fun and all, but we need some substance and conversation. :) Thanks!
A pleasure being part of The Scare-ening's maiden voyage!
And no matter how many times you run it, that "exultant businesswoman" image never fails to crack me up.
You crazy, wacky chicks and your offensive webcasts. Always a lightening rod. What's all this then about 2 Girls 1 Cup? I think you and Heidi have personalities that are way too big for just one cup! Ooh, maybe one of those Big Gulp cups from 7/11? Suuuuuure, that's the ticket...
Twas fun good times, although slighty chaotic. I enjoyed the advice to prospective topless horror actresses.
We were promised sound effects? No toilets flushing or boing noises?
SFX...I know! Sorry, I think we were too distracted and excited. And I must say, talking on the phone and paying attention to the computer at the same time is too much for me to handle, frankly.
I understand—and don't call me Frankly. Wait. Dammit. That doesn't work. It's so funny when Leslie Nielsen does it. Nevermind...
The chaotic aspect was actually really fun, and pretty infectious - don't tone it down too much! Also, Heidi gets huge points for mentioning Briefcase Woman.
Who was that girl who called in wanting to tell you about her dream? Did you guys hang up on her? It seemed like a Gong Show moment for a second. (I wanted to hear the dream!)
I would have liked to have heard the word "vagina" a few more times, but apart from that it was OK.
I tuned in late but got the gist of it. How did the controversy work out? In defense of classic horror, all I can say is that when I've seen one of 'em on a big screen with a good print and it hits me in the right mood then there's a "movie magic" that can't be replicated any other way. I can say that of "Bride of Frankenstein," "The Old Dark House," "The Black Cat (34)," "The Island of Lost Souls" and "Creature From the Black Lagoon" when I saw it in 3D at the age of 13 in 1978.

It was an interesting first effort, and I'm going to keep listening, but you ruined my dinner when you brought up Two Girls One Cup. Gah!
I agree, by the way, about the classic horror films. They've never been my cup of blood, and I usually find them kind of tiresome.
