It took 'em long enough to get here, but Ludlow has now officially moved from "pre-order" to just plain ol' "order". Aw, it's so available and grown up now. They start shipping this week! WOO!
sek-say! and thanks for the reminder, I need to slap some cash over to the interwebs and order me up some fresh hot ludlow. I drive through there everytime I go from LA to New Mexico and will probably have to change the route after this.
Man...seems like I listened to you being interviewed about "Ludlow" on some horror podcast like, about 1974 or thereabouts. In any event, glad it's finally ready to drop and looking forward to seeing it.
Just finished watching Ludlow. I was GLUED to the screen the entire time. Nice editing there Stacie. Phew. Mind blown. Loved it. Great story. Shannon was gross(in a good way!)
Got DVD. Watched DVD. Watched interview. Watched DVD with commentary... wasn’t that impressed really... was a bit – oh yeh?... mind you, the acting really was pretty good... and I suppose the music was fab as well but apart from that... oh, and I liked that Lawrence of Arabia stylee opening sequence (or Ben Hur if you’re a bit literary like) but apart from that and a couple of sparingly used jump shots that made me go waagh! Hmm... and there was quite a lot of interesting frame composition going on... that was quite cool... and the mix of different lighting, length of shot and perspective creating a kind of claustrophobic ennui and the building sense of a jarring unreality of the mental collapse was rather affective... Blimey! That wasn’t half bad, that there Ludlow wasn’t! In fact it was glamorous, sophisticated and gadamit, damned fine! (Except for the fly. The fly has to go. It was a total ham...?!) Bravo, I say! MORE!! MORE!!!

ReplyDeleteYes, it has been a long-ish journey. Movies take time to make and distribute when you do it all on your own. :)

ReplyDeleteNo way! That's so cool. Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Stacie.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of getting the Ghostella videos put on a DVD? They don't work on the AfterEllen site anymore.
You and Heidi could get hammered and do commentaries. That'd be sweet.
There will be a Ghostella announcement soon! Not a DVD, but at least it will be available again, and there will be some new content. OOOH!

ReplyDeleteThanks, anonymous. I'd like to see what you had to say if you WERE impressed! :)
ReplyDeleteThat damn fly. It's EVERYWHERE.
