FINAL GIRL explores the slasher flicks of the '70s and '80s...and all the other horror movies I feel like talking about, too. This is life on the EDGE, so beware yon spoilers!

face off!
It's Christina (Diabolique, 1955) vs Eleanor (The Haunting, 1963) in the terrified frail heroine runs down a darkened hallway in her nightgown battle for my heart!
As amazing as Diabolique is-Eleanor hands down. I would say the better opponent would have been Miss Giddens in The Innocents. Then I truly couldn't choose.
Eleanor wins because it's The Haunting which is adapted from the novel The Haunting of Hill House which is by Shirley Jackson and Shirley trumps EVERYTHING.

Who can choose? DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!
That's a tough one!
REFUSE TO CHOOSE, that's my platform
Elanor outclasses everyone always, in my book. look how she turns and looks even as she runs away, from her true love.
Eleanor wins.
Christina runs like a girl!
