SHOCKtober: Final Mom's Top 20

I know that sometimes you must read this site and wonder at my taste in horror movies. How did it get to be so good? Was I simply born this way, with perfect and impeccable opinions on what is good and what is not?

Of course I was! But while I would like to give myself sole credit for this, I must in fact give a shout-out to my mom, who obviously also has superior taste in horror movies. Just look at this list! It speaks for itself, so I'll shut up now.

Dracula (1958, Terence Fisher)

Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966, Terence Fisher)

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968, Freddie Francis)

Some great choices here, but I'm especially pleased that your mom loves the Christopher Lee Dracula movies as much as I do! They're my favorite Hammer films!

Can I hang out with our Mom? I will make dinner, run the dishwasher when we are done, mix her fave after meal cocktails, and watch any and all of these movies with her!

I meant "your" not "our" because clearly we are not related - you are way to cool to be my sister!

Good picks!

I love the Polish Alien poster. I assume the artist was just told the plot, maybe by someone else who hadn't actually seen the movie.

Nice list, Final Mom!
I don't think I've heard of Cold Prey before, gonna have to look that up.

Ooh you're in for a treat–Cold Prey is an excellent slasher movie. And the second one is even better! (I can't vouch for the third, but I haven't heard great things about it.)

Mama Ponder has outstanding taste in movies.

COLD PREY is the shizz. I became a big fan of Ingrid Bolso Berdal from that movie. She's currently kicking ass in WESTWORLD.

You sure love your horror flicks.

Wow - cool list. A big Hammer Dracula fan myself, this is a list of real class. Plus there's a wide range of tastes on display. Love the inclusion of Demons so much I shall watch it again this week.

Your mom has impeccable taste in horror cinema. Dog Soldiers is my favorite Neil Marshall flick. Pitch Black is my favorite non-Alien alien film. And Hammer Dracula is best Dracula.
