  • ^ me, every time I saw a vote for Ma in an email
  • A lot of terrific horror movies were released in 2020, and the majority of them didn't get a fair shake because of that whole pandemic thing (not sure if you remember what I'm talking about...?). They weren't released in theaters or they were plopped into the depths of various streaming services, left neglected and alone while everyone watched Tiger King. At least that's the excuse I'm using when it comes to movies from that time that I find super underrated, like the fantastic His House. It packs an emotional gut punch, features some incredible performances, and at times it's scary as heck. As HECK I say!
  • A reader on Green Room: "You’ve gotta love someone unzipping a Nazi’s stomach with a box cutter."
  • Grave Robbers is so much fun, a nice little slasher with sets that give me Scooby-Doo vibes.
  • I have a gap in my viewing history where M belongs.
  • Anyone who's been here for longer than this post already knows how much I love Hell Night and Horror Express...but if this is your first time here: Hey! I love Hell Night and Horror Express a shitton!
  • Eyes of Fire has been recommended to me many times by many people and I really need to take the leap and make their dreams for me come true.

Love to see some love for Oddity! One of my faves of this year, with a phenomenal lead performance by Carolyn Bracken -- playing a dual role as twins Dani and Darcy.

I have a feeling it'll be ranked higher next time I do this!

I would have voted for Horror Express but I am lazy and did not send in my list this year.

Eyes of Fire is pretty good. It is one of two movies that I know of where a dude gets eaten by a tree (the other being the Guardian).

M is great. If you can get a copy (it was released on blu-ray in the last couple of years), I also recommend El Vampiro Negro, which is an Argentine adaptation of the story-at least in outline form.
