awesome movie poster friday- the HAL HOLBROOK edition!
You've seen some of these before, but certainly they bear repeating...I mean, that blue-faced woman in the poster for The Fog will never get old. It took me about 5 reads to get the Girls Nite Out tagline; either it's really awkward, or I'm really slow. I'd like to blame it on the movie, since I kind of hated it.

Hal Holbrook movie poster Friday? Oh, I am SO THERE!
I love that Hal Holbrook was in Girls Nite Out. I have a feeling that the Into The Wild Oscar nod was just to make up for overlooking this movie.
Seriously, he's a respected actor. Hal Holbrook + Girls Nite Out = WHY.
Fave poster this week has gotta be *Magnum Force*. Great! And I love that it's totally pink and gay.
And wow, so many sexually innuendos in that *Girls Nite Out* poster! But that's bound to happen when you have girls in bikini tops and runner shorts with the words "in" and "out" in the tagline.
I love Creepshow. It's a hard choice, but I think Hal Holbrook's is my favorite segment. Gotta love Adrienne Barbeau in that one. "JUST CALL ME BILLIE, EVERYONE DOES."

Ok, Bill's tag-line translation jamboree is here again.
The French and Spanish Fog posters say the same thing, "Behind the fog… is terror!" (And as always, you're on your own for Japanese.)
The German one says, "The rarest and most-sought horror film in the world is available for the first time! DVD world premiere!"
"Rarest and most sought?" Take that, London After Midnight!
Hal literarily phones in his performance in Girls Nite Out. Someone pointed that out to me. And I love it every-time I watch it.
Deserving Movie Poster Friday.
Hal certainly was a blast in Magnum Force (Hah I do not apologize or that one!)
Hal's been on a few episodes of ER recently and of course he's tremendous in Into the Wild.

that FOG poster with the chicks head melding with the background is odd. and brilliant.

This is a really sweet blog!!! I have always been a horror fan but I think we are few and far between. Mama, I'm hommmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! LOL
That French poster for The Fog makes it look like a sinister version of Xanadu.

oh ho! I love the Japansese fog poster and the first creepshow one!
: )
Creepshow = AWESOME.
"he wanted to measure the bite marks...i guess he got his chance."
oh, and i'm sure Hal Holbrook loves being reminded he was in Girls Night Out.

I wish I were on the Girls Nite Out poster. I regularly run scared in a bra and canary yellow running shorts. Opportunity wasted, DAMN!
I love the first Creepshow.
'What's the matter, Mr. Pratt? Bugs got your tongue? '
The Fog rules also, but not the remake !!
Yeah these are pretty cool posters. I like them even better in foreign languages like you have on here.
